Suspected submarine search continues

The week-long hunt for a suspected Russian submarine in the Stockholm archipelago has made headlines around the world and prompted widespread media speculation. Russian defence ministry officials have denied claims that one of their submarines got into difficulty in the waters off Sweden and issued a distress signal. However, continued sightings by the public of suspicious marine activity in the inner islands of the archipelago mean that navy operations continue to attempt to locate the foreign vessel.
